Obituary

PHILLIPS
Genevieve (nee Logan) age 91 passed peacefully on April 9, 2018

Gen was preceded in death by the love of her life Sam, they were married for 62 years. She was born in Philadelphia and lived in Olney, Flourtown, and Ambler. Gen graduated from Olney High School in 1945. Daughter of Catherine and Michael Logan, she is the last of 7 siblings: Joe Logan, Alice Walder, Ted Logan, Ronnie Bodne, Marie Cutler, and her twin James who died shortly after birth. Gen is survived by 2 loving sons Dennis (Patricia) and Jeffrey (Sally), 6 grandchildren Josh (Danielle), Eric (Christine), Donny (Emma), Diana, Kevin (Erin) and Jayden. 3 great-grandsons Jack, Alex and Freddy. Her family gave her great joy. She told them enough stories to last a lifetime. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Gen retired from A&P/SuperFresh after 25 years as a cashier. She was a people person who enjoyed working with the public. Gen was passionate and knowledgeable about collecting antiques and was proud of her appearance on the "Antiques Roadshow" filmed in Philadelphia in 2006. She attended Cheltenham High School Antiques classes for 32 years. She also collected many friends and called them treasures. She volunteered at Bird in Hand Consignment Shop in Chestnut Hill for 30 years, LaSalle Collage High School thrift shop, and worked in the Bazaar Room at Springhouse Estates where she lived the last 6 years of her life. She will be remembered as great storyteller. We all agree she should have put them in a book.
