Obituary

Joyce C. Cox, of Southampton, passed away into God's loving care on Friday morning, October 9, 2020 at her home. She was 87 years old. Joyce was born on October 19, 1932 to the late Frank C. Anthony, Jr. and Helen (née McBride) Anthony and was the wife to the late Robert T. Cox, Sr.

Joyce was an honest, loving, caring person who shared her good heart with everyone. She was the best mother, grandmother and great grandmother (Nanny) anyone could ask for with five children, eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She also had a special niece with whom she was very close. She loved the Lord and was always happy to sing "Climb, Climb Up Sunshine Mountain" and "Jesus Loves Me" with the little ones.

She grew up in Philadelphia and in the in the early 60's she moved with her husband and family across the street from her parents (who she loved dearly) in Trevose. She enjoyed her summers at Beach Haven on their boat. The boat didn't always run very well but there were always fun stories when it didn't. More than time out on the water, she enjoyed the good times with her kids and friends on the dock. Joyce also loved the Eagles and was a life-long, loyal fan. Every game she would sit with her Eagles bear on her lap, her special good luck candle lit, and cheer them on.

Twenty nine years ago, Robert and Joyce moved to Southampton to live with their daughter and son-in-law in an in-law suite (her "little house" she called it). She loved her little house and the family that was always present in her life.

Joyce is survived by three children: Sharon Koch (Ernest), Lisa Wiltbank (Daniel), Donna Cox and is predeceased by two children: Debbi Swank and Robert T. Cox, Jr.
She is survived also by her grandchildren: Robert T. Cox III, Kaylee Cox, Marlena Lewis (Micah), Colleen Masella, Kristina Hesdon (Christopher), Kelly Podlaszewski (Henry), Jennifer Welsh (Brian), Tiffany Swank and her great grandchildren: Michael Masella, Anthony Masella, Mikayla Hesdon, Brayden Swank Drysdale, Ryan Lewis, Jason Lewis, Paige Lewis, Henry Podlaszewski, Annalise Podlaszewski, Aaron Welsh, and Tanner Wheaton. Joyce is survived by her brother Frank C. Anthony III and is predeceased by her sister, Jean Purich.

Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family would like to extend special thanks to Chandler Hall Hospice whose loving care and amazing support made it possible for Joyce to remain in her little house surrounded by the love of family until the morning she was called home to the Lord.
