ROUTZAHN
MARGARET "PEGGY", (nee McCrudden), 62, of Glenside, PA died peacefully on October 9, 2020 surrounded by her family. Beloved daughter of the late Judge James D. McCrudden and Margaret Leighton McCrudden. Survived by ex-husband Paul Routzahn, and loving siblings: Susan McDermott (Jamie), Kathleen McCrudden (Robert Morton), John McCrudden (Eileen), Maureen Foley (Patrick), and James McCrudden, Jr. (Kristina). Peggy was the dear aunt of 14 nieces and nephews.
Peggy graduated from Mount Saint Joseph Academy in 1976 and earned an associate degree in fashion design from Marymount College in Virginia. After college, Peggy followed the sun to Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. The years spent in the islands were happy for Peg. She made life-long friendships and enjoyed sailing, snorkeling, and spending her time in the sun. Peg returned to the states after thirteen years in Saint Croix to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree followed by a Master of Library Science Degree from Central Connecticut State University. Peggy worked as a librarian at Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut, Woodbridge Public Library in Woodbridge, Connecticut, and, most recently, part time at the Glenside Public Library in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
Peggy was an avid reader, appreciated a lively political debate, and was an aficionado of all things Bravo TV. She was proud of her nieces and nephews and enjoyed all opportunities to spend time with her family, especially at the beach.
